je m'excuse pour ma longue absence, mais le mois d'aout à été juste un tout petit peu fou ^^'. Cela dit, j'ai fais de gros progrès, et je commence à pouvoir tenir des discutions de plus en plus compliquées... :D Mais je suis encore loin d'avoir le niveau que j'espère, alors encore de nombreuses heures de travail m'attendent. A part ça, j'ai aussi eu une semaine de vacances au milieu de la campagne chinoise, les photos+articles arriverons dans les prochaines jours, c'est promis!

Sinon, deux autres cours de culture que j'ai eu la chance d'avoir sont la calligraphie, la première fois pour les caractères, la deuxième fois pour la peinture chinoise. Les deux ont les même bases, et il ne faut pas croire que l'on a tout de suite commencer. Non, il nous a fallu nous entrainer longuement sur les traits de bases (voir photo du haut), et si ça parait simple comme ça, je vous garanti que ça ne l'est pas du tt. Rien que la position des mains pour tenir le pinceau, le dos bien droit, avoir la bonne dose d'encre, etc... bref un vrai casse tête!

Mais au final, ça donne un résultat plutôt pas mal ^^ ci dessous, mon caractère le plus réussi (à gauche) et aussi celui fait par le prof (à droite) pour que vous puissiez comparer. Et également mon chef d'oeuvre fait la semaine d'après :p

Note: pour répondre à la très bonne question d'Alyane, oui le système d'écrire simplifié est harmonisé dans toute la Chine, donc tout le monde peut lire les caractères. Par contre la prononciation est complètement différente entre dialecte (Mandarin, cantonais, shanghainese, etc...). D'où l'importance de savoir lire/écrire les caractères.

I apologize for the lack of news, but the month of august has just been a little bit crazy ^^'. But speaking of which, I made a a lot of progress and I start being able to have conversations more and more complicated :D Still I am far from having the level i want, so there are still many hours of work ahead of me. Apart from that  I also had a week of holiday in the middle of the Chinese countryside, photos+articles will soon arrive, I promise!

In addition, two other culture classes I had were calligraphy, the first session for characters, the second of Chinese painting. Both have the same base, and please don't think we started straight away. No we first had to practice a lot the basic strokes (see picture above), and if it seems easy, rest assured it's not the case at all. Just the position of the hand to hold the bruch, your back all well maintained, the right amount of ink, etc... a real nightmare!

but finally, it gives a pretty good result ^^ below you can see my most beautiful character (left pic) and the same one made by the teacher (right pic) so that you can compare. And also my masterpiece realized a week later :p

Note: to answer Alyane question, yes the writting system is unified through the whole China so that everybody can read the characters.  However,  the pronounciation is completely different between dialects (Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, etc...) which is why it's important to be able to read/write characters.

Cet instrument produit un son mélodieux qui m'a fait voyager, pour quelques minutes, au temps de la Chine impériale. Vous aimez?

The Guzheng is a traditional Chinese instrument, which is a bit like a guitare on a table or a harp. Its creation date is estimated to be in the Qin dynasty (around 200 A.J.C). This instrument produces a melodious sound which made me travel, for a few minutes, back to the imperial China. Do you like it?

Photo prise au temple du prince (voir article précédent), cette tête de dragon (dragon femelle, svp, notez le maquillage et la fleur ^^) est en fait un masque que porte un acteur pendant le spectacle. Je n'étais pas autorisée à rentrer dans cette salle puisqu'il s'agissait de la réserve des acteurs, mais à force de conversation (et un petit peu de charme aussi, mais il faut bien que ça servent d'être une fille :p), le gardien m'a montré les costumes et les instruments d'acrobaties, et m'a même laissé prendre cette photo. La Victoire est mienne!! :D

Picture taken at the prince's temple (see previous article), this dragon head (female dragon, please, notice the make-up and the flower ^^) is in fact a mask worn by an acteur during a show. I was not supposed to go inside this room since it is the acteurs backstage, but thanks to conversation (and a bit of charm as well, but it must be useful at some point to be a girl :p), the guard showed me the costumes and the acrobats' instruments, and he even let me take this picture. Victory was mine!! :D

Moi et ma camarade de classe nous sommes retrouvé dans un lieux magnifique, immense, et en plus, toutes seules: un sacré luxe en chine. Du coup j'ai pu m'amuser comme une petite folle avec mon appareil photo pour vous offrir ces quelques clichés.
Cet ancienne résidence d'un riche homme est maintenant reconverti d'une part en musée de la vie traditionnelle Chinoise, et d'autre part sert de théâtre en plein air pour des représentations. J'espère pouvoir y aller bientôt pour voir ce que ça donne. En attendant, voici les photos, Enjoy! :)

I have discovered this temple close to my uni (45 minutes by foot, Chinese point of view, it's really close ^^); and I can tell you I was not disappointed. Me and my classmate arrived in this magnificient, huge place, and on top of that, we were completely alone: a real luxury in China. Consequently I have a lot of fun with my camera in order to share with you these photos.
This former residence of a rich prince has now been converted into a museum about the Chinese traditional way of life in one hand, and on another hand it is now an open-sky theatre for shows. I hope being able to go soon to see what it is like. But for now, here are the photos, Enjoy! :)

Tous les mardi après-midi, nous avons des cours de culture non obligatoire, mais je trouve que c'est vraiment le meilleur moment de la semaine. Pour notre première semaine, on a eu le droit d'apprendre à faire les noeuds porte-bonheur Chinois. Pas facile au début, mais une fois qu'on a compris la technique, c'est super simple. Every tuesday afternoon, we have a non-mandatory culture class, but I think it's the best moment of the week. For our first week, we were able to learn how to make the lucky Chinese knots. non je ne vous ai pas oublié, mais je n'ai eu aucun temps libre depuis le début de la semaine. Je n'ai beau avoir "que" 4 heures de cours par jour (le matin), en Chine, tout prend bcp plus de temps à faire. Rien que d'aller en cours, c'est 15 minutes en bus (super proche vous allez me dire), mais il me faut quand même partir une bonne heure avant le début des cours. En effet, il me faut déjà 15-20 pour aller de chez moi à l'arrêt de bus, il faut ensuite attendre un bus, et en Chine, on ne sait jamais combien de temps ça va prendre. Il n'y a pas d'horaires, donc il faut juste prendre le bus qui vient. Parfois on n'attends que quelques minutes, parfois plus de 30 minutes, et parfois le bus ne passe pas.... bref, un peu incertain tout ça! Arrivé à l'arrêt de bus de la fac, il nous faut encore marcher 10-15 minutes pour atteindre notre établissement. Les temps de trajet plus la quantité de travail pharaonique que nous avant après le cours (parler, écrire et lire le chinois, ça se mérite ^^'), j'ai des journées très longues (et tellement chaudes!!!! je remercie du fond du coeur l'inventeur de la clim!) et très fatiguantes, mais enrichissantes.

Les cours se font tout en Chinois, notre prof ne parlant pas anglais ou très peu, et nous http://zai-tianjin.cowblog.fr/images/IMG0333.jpgsommes 5 d'Edinburgh plus 3 Coréennes. Le premier jour on a pas tout compris ce qu'il se passait, mais maintenant ça va mieux. Par contre, vu que les explications de grammaires sont en Chinois, il faut quand même passer bcp de temps dessus seul à la maison pour être sur d'avoir bien compris. Rien qu'en une semaine, nous avons quand même vraiment progressé, en espérant que ça dure.

Hello everyone,

no I haven't forgotten you, but I just haven't had any free time since the start of the week. Even though I "only" have 4 hours of class a day (on the morning), in China everything takes much more time to do. For instance going to class, it takes 15 by bus (very close you would think), but I still need to leave a good hour before the start of my class. Indeed, I already need 15-20 min from my flat to go to the bus stop, then I need to wait for a bus and in CHina you never know how much time it's going to take.There are no schedule, you just need to climb in the bus arrives. SOmetimes you just wait a few minutes, sometimes more than 30, and sometimes it never comes.... so a bit uncertain! Once arrived that the uni bus stop, I need to walk again for 10-15 minutes to arrive at my school. Transportation times adding to the pharaonic quantity of homework we have to do after class (speaking, reading and writting chinese, you need to deserve it ^^'), I have very long (and extremely hot!!!!! I thank from the bottom of my heart the inventor of the air conditioner!) and very tiring, but interesting.

Classes are all in Chinese language, our teacher not being able to speak english or just a few words, and we are 5 people from Edinburgh plus 3 Korean girls. The first day we did not understand everythign that was going on, but now it's better. But sometimes, as the grammar points are explained in CHinese, we need to spend quite a lot of time after class to be sure we understood it. In just one week, we already imprvoed a lot, I hope it will carry on that way.

Pour tous ceux qui me posent des questions, je vais essayer de répondre :)
Je suis venue en Chine dans le cadre de mon master de Chinois que je fais à l'université d'Edimbourgh. Ces 6 mois sont obligatoires et tous mes caramades de classe sont avec moi. Le programme d'été est un programme intensif de Chinois que pour nous et les 3 Coréennes. Ensuite dès septembre, nous integrerons des classes de niveau (à la suite d'un test) avec tous les autres étudiants internationaux qui viendrons apprendre le Chinois à Nankai (mon université). Je ne suis donc pas dans un cursus chinois normal, car pour pouvoir le faire, il faudrait absolument être excellent dans cette langue, ce qui est encore loin d'être mon cas ^^'.
